Meet Tip McGuire
“My agenda is simple: talk to my neighbors about what they need, and then work to find real solutions in the Assembly.”
About Tip
Born and raised in Somers, Wisconsin, Tip McGuire has built his career fighting for justice and standing up for Wisconsin families. A proud graduate of St. Catherine’s High School in Racine, Tip went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to public service.
Tip’s commitment to making a difference began early, working as a legislative aide to Representative Peter W. Barca and organizing on the ground for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin during the critical 2010 and 2012 elections. After law school, he put his legal skills to work as a prosecutor in the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office, and later as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County, taking on cases to protect public safety and ensure accountability.
In 2019, driven by his passion for advocacy and a deep belief in Wisconsin’s potential, Tip ran for and won a seat representing the 64th Assembly District. Today, he continues to champion fair laws, stronger communities, and opportunities for every Wisconsinite.
